EXHIBITIONS

July - October 2020

Program offers:

  • $1,000 flat-rate exhibition fee (thanks to our 'Supporting Artists & National Conversations' program, funded by the Australia Council for the Arts).

  • A fully subsidised gallery space for three weeks (including two-day install and one-day de-install).

  • Guidance and support from our Gallery Director, Curatorial Committee and Board in developing their professional practice.

  • Access to and assistance with WTS equipment, tools and resources (prior arrangement ideal).

  • Support and advice regarding exhibition installation, marketing and publicity.

  • Digital promotion of exhibition through the WTS website, social media platforms, e-newsletter and other online resources.

  • Hard-copy mail out of invitation to WTS Members. This covers the cost for mailout, i.e. postage, labels and envelopes.

  • Organisation of printing promotional material.

  • Opening night bar provision and attendance.

  • Coordination of artwork sales on opening night and duration of exhibition expect on Saturdays.

  • Staffing of the exhibition during weekday open hours (Wed-Fri 12-5pm).

 

TRAVELLING ARTIST RESIDENCY

July - November 2020

Program offers:

  • FREE studio hire (fully subsidised thanks to our 'Supporting Artists & National Conversations' program, funded by the Australia Council for the Arts).

  • 3.8 x 3.5m studio with desk and chair, including air-conditioning split-system.

  • Creative, practical and professional support from our Gallery Director.

  • The opportunity to work in a creative environment amongst five other studio artists as well as local and visiting exhibiting artists.

  • Use of WTS tools and equipment (prior arrangement ideal).

  • Access to communal kitchen with fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities

  • Central location: only a 15 minute walk from the town centre, shops and supermarket.

  • Opportunity to hold an Open Studio event on the last Friday of the month (an option, not a requirement).
