Call Out for Treasurer position

 
 

WTS has a Board and Curatorial Committee with staff to administer decisions made. The Board focuses on making operational decisions, meeting on a six-week basis to assess the financial, operational and creative status of the space and make strategic decisions. The Treasurer is one of the Executive Committee members within the Board.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD

  • Financial and Legal management and responsibilities

  • Developing Strategic Vision and Plan

  • Decision-making for Policies and unexpected challenges

  • Recruitment of new members and staff

  • Advocacy of the organisation

  • Support for staff and artists

RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO TREASURER

  • Reviewing and presenting financial statements to the Board at meetings

  • Preparing the annual audit report

  • Taking the lead in working with the Board to form financial policies

  • Identifying risks and opportunities within organisational budget

  • Tenure minimum one year
